With that said, pulling off the magnetically attached (which is impressive, I must add) block cover and LCD mount and its two cables reveals what is underneath. With the LCD designed for horizontal viewing ideally (vertical is also supported), you have a reasonable degree of freedom when choosing a block mounting orientation. While the magnetic LCD display / pump cover can be easily removed, it is only designed to fit onto the system in one orientation. And it is needlessly bulky in so many respects, other than handling the screen duties.Īlso, you need to watch out for the screen duties. The massive – 78.15 x 87.5 x 81 mm plastic housing is clearly oversized compared to what we’re used to from Asetek 7 th Gen hardware.

So this is not really an additional install as such.Īside from the undeniably unique LCD display, the Ryujin II 360’s pump block design is otherwise cumbersome and ugly, in my personal opinion. The likelihood is, of course, that you’ll be using other ASUS hardware anyway.

But at least ASUS gives some actual functionality in Armory Crate beyond forcing one to download a software tool just to set the pump at full speed… which you also have to do with the ROG Ryujin II 360, I must add. Requiring this install annoys me – as is the case with all AIO coolers that demand a software install.
This is all handled via the ASUS Armory Crate software tool. And if you want useful information such as CPU temperature and fan speeds, that’s doable. If you want your own custom image, that’s doable. If you want default ASUS ROG graphics and logos in colour and motion form, that’s doable. Sporting a full colour display, ASUS gives plenty of flexibility with the functionality of its display. Or perhaps ASUS really has carved out a niche here. Perhaps that is because other manufacturers are apprehensive of the prohibitively expensive technology. Sizing in at 3.5”, this is the largest LCD that you will find on any AIO cooler on the market, according to ASUS. Maybe there will be decent updates on the top or back in white.The key feature of the £279.99 ASUS ROG Ryujin II 360 AIO is clearly that massive screen. You can just get a glimpse of the components and the 3080 FE presents itself well.
But the dark tinted glass is really dark. I cut down on LED because usually doesn’t like flashy lights in my room.
Everything fits with proper cable management. The 240 AiO just was too tight on top and the was no Filter so the Noise went also up. I wanted something compact and the R4 became so spacy because all the HDD and ODD went missing over the years. That time I remembered the Compact again and decided to build in it nearly from scratch because the old system should keep intact somehow. I wanted to use it with an 360 or 280 Rad. Last week than I won the “lottery” to buy a 5900X in that 1min Time Slot. In December I got lucky to get my hand on a 3080 FE in a time where my Vega64 starts to break down, which decided the future color scheme.

The internals became something like Frankensteins monster…Ģ019 I bought the 3700x with the not really good x570 gaming edge wifi because of the free included 240 AiO. I was looking for cases for a while now and loved the compact when it got released but I never got over it to switch from my 8-year-old still also lovely R4. 360 AiO just fits perfectly with my 3080 FE.
